October House Mahjong League

Join us at The Clubhouse in Park Ridge for our October House Mahjong League—a four-week league designed for intermediate players and up who know the rules of American Mahjong and are ready for structured, competitive play. This league combines friendly competition with a welcoming community atmosphere. Using our ladder-style format, players are seated each week based on current standings, creating new matchups and opportunities to challenge yourself throughout the month. 📅 League Dates: • October 7 • October 14 • October 21 • October 28 ⏰ Time: 6:30–8:30 PM 📍 The Clubhouse – North Shore Mahjong 222 S. Prospect Ave., 3rd Floor Park Ridge, IL 60068 🀄 How the League Works Each league night, players will aim to complete 4 games in two hours. If your table finishes four games early, you are welcome to continue playing, but only the first four games will count toward league scoring. Over the course of four weeks, players will: • Play 4 scored games each league night • Track cumulative points and weekly standings • Move up or down tables based on performance • Develop strategy through consistent gameplay • Meet and compete with a variety of players • Compete for end-of-season prizes and bragging rights This league is ideal for intermediate and up who can independently play American Mahjong and are looking for a more competitive experience than open play (we keep score) while still enjoying the social side of the game. 🥂 BYOB – Feel free to bring your favorite beverages to enjoy while you play. 💲 League Fee: $100 Space is limited, and advance registration is required. Please note: All sales are final. If you are unable to attend a league night, you may arrange for a substitute player to take your place.
